I have participated in a 1 hr live phone-in programme on Telugu News channel HMTV. This is for the first time an Indian news channel has done a phone-in programme on Wikipedia. See the below links.

We at Centre for Internet and Society have been chosen by the Wikimedia Foundation to anchor the development and growth of Indian language Wikipedias.  As the Programme Director me and my team are looking at collaboration with institutions, groups, individuals and so on to promulgate the key role that Wikipeida as a free knowledge platform can play in the digital era. The most simple and effective way you can contribute to this is by contributing on any of the Indian language Wikipedia.
