Yes. it is also called 'Zandu' tablets. Costs Rs. 65 for a bottle with around 35 tablets. Put 2-3 tabs in a small cloth pouch or perforated plastic bag and keep it in the grains bag. Take extra care not to consume these tablets!

Regarding Salt, today we consume the most adulterated salt that humankind has ever consumed. We need to somehow find 'real salt'

Since, there are non-kannada speaking members in this group, we normally use English.

Here is a rough translation:
1. Cold water is better for bathing
2. Compost organic matter at home
3. Use jaggery instead of sugar
4. Try to realise our  true nature in a world that seems so complicated (Shivananda)
5. ?
6. Try to consume less salt, excess consumption leads to high BP

Regards,
Harish

Dear All,

Regarding preservation, I usually keep grains and rava in freezer. Any comments on that ?

Regarding salt, I use powdered rock salt (rocks will be very light pinkish color).

regards,
Geetha

It is (using freezer) very energy intensive and as such unsustainable in the long run. Better to explore other options whenever possible.

We also buy rock salt thinking it is a better option; even better is NOT to use it!

I have heard that rock salt is potassium based. So will have issues with sodium? A lot of don't knows.

But, for sure there are a lot of chemicals in table salt.

This works wonders with a few dried neem leaves thrown in.
