Hi Dalia,
Can you post the parameter file for this simulation? There are a number of things that could happen resulting in simulation failing, usually either the simulation file isn't written completely because of an error from the parameterization or if the file is complete there is a problem with some of the parameter values. Looking at the parameter file, and also the parLUT attribute table in the geodatabase are the first things to look at to identify the source of the problem.

Hello Shea
I have repeated the parameterization of my basin, and I got a parameterization and simulation of just 18 planes from 53 planes, and 6 channels from 21 channels.
the attached files are parameters file and output file

Hi Dalia,
Apologies for the late reply. Without a bit more information, I can't tell why the parameter file is being cut off before writing all of the elements. One observation I can make is that it looks the slope values for several elements was 0 in the parameterization, and AGWA replaced those values with 0.00001 to allow the model to run. This typically happens in areas where there is a large body of water in the watershed, and the fill process of the DEM has made that area all the same elevation. This could be unrelated to why the parameter file is incomplete, but it's something to be aware of and try to avoid if possible in delineations and discretizations.

To get more information to try and solve the problem, can you locate and upload the errors.txt file located in the same folder as the MXD document for your project? A screenshot of the  open zein_p_parLUT table, located in the delineation geodatabase, showing the parameter values and a check for null values in that table would also be informative. Or, if you are comfortable sharing, you could upload a zipped version of the delineation geodatabase that I could inspect for issues.

Hi Dalia,
I see in the screenshot that ElementID 63 has null values for the X, Y, Width, and Length attributes. These are calculated during the parameterization step and should not be null. Can you create a new parameterization and select Create new parameterization in the Elements box and select zein in the Land Cover and Soils box? Once that is complete, try creating a new simulation using the new parameterization.

You could also try manually determing the X, Y, Width, and Length attributes for that particular element and edit the attribute table to populate them, then create a new simulation using the edited parameterization where you populated those values. The Length attribute of some of the other records in that table also are not quite what I would expect (typically the length attribute should be the same for elements on either side of a stream and should be equal to the length of that adjacent stream element that the plane element flows into; elements that end in 2 and 3 are lateral elements that flow into channel elements that end in 4, so elements 12 and 13 would flow into channel 14 and should have a Length attribute equal to the length of channel element 14). I'm not sure why that isn't the case here, but it could be related to the null values in element 63, which could have signaled that part of the parameterization (calculation of the zonal/spatial characteristics of the plane elements) didn't complete.

I'd try to get a complete and successful parameterization using the Parameterizer tool first and not attempt editing the attribute tables by hand. You can also rename the errors.txt file so that when the parameterization is performed it is easier to scan the file for relevant messages.
