The Maryland Institute College of Art is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for the 2015 session of The Alfred and Trafford Klots International Program for Artists in Brittany, France.

NEW THIS YEAR,we are offering an extended 8-week session. Residencies will be awarded to 6-12 applicants (artists and artist couples).

Session dates: Saturday, May 23, 2015 to Saturday July 18, 2015.
Application deadline: February 1st.
Awards announced: March 1st.

The residency is housed in the medieval riverside village of Léhon, which is a "Petite Cité de Caractère" and is graced by a medieval abbey and its gardens and by the ruins of the oldest fortress in Brittany on a hill overlooking the village. Competitive residencies are open to artists and artist-couples working in any media. Application is free. The application for the 2015 residency program is now available. The deadline to submit an application is February 1st, 2015. Applicants will be notified by March 15th.

The Quarry at Marble House Project will run from May through September, 2015. Each session will host seven residents. Each residency sessions will be approximately three weeks. Marble House Project will provide housing, food and private studio space. Residents are responsible for all transportation and material costs.

We are a multidisciplinary program. Applications that are accepted (but not limited to) are: visual artists, writers, choreographers, dancers, musicians and composers. If you are unsure if you can apply in your particular field please write to in...@marblehouseproject.org.

The use of curves and lines are all around us, they are employed in artwork to create a sense of direction or focal point and, in architecture, to influence our mood through spatial interaction. Submit your work that has captured or employs these elements!

Calls are open to all local, domestic, national and international professional and amateur artists. All art mediums will be considered in this call for submissions. Sizes up to 12 feet are acceptable. Work must be able to be hung on a wall to be considered for the live exhibition. Freestanding 3D artworks will be displayed online only. We are now accepting video and poetry entries for online shows.

Cost: $35 for 3 entries, $5 for additional entries.

The Morrissey Gallery, an exhibition space located prominently in the Galvin Fine Arts Center at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA is accepting applications for solo and small group exhibitions for the 2015-16 academic year. Open to all artists 18 years of age or older, living within a 200-mile radius of Davenport, Iowa. Preference is given to artists working with media that supports our academic majors in Book Arts and Printmaking, Graphic Design, and Painting/Drawing. There is no application fee.

The theme for the first call is Equality. Your response should investigate the concept or practice of equality in social, scientific, physical (spatial), political, theological, mathematical, racial, gender, economical, geographic, and/or cultural contexts.

Each group of selected thematic submissions will be sequenced into a looping video projection within the Samuel Dorsky Museum. The editors reserve the right to refuse a submission based on its applicability to the theme or the final video.

BODY and SOUL, the 2015 Kreft Juried National Exhibition, will examine and illustrate the relationship between these two entities. Coupling them immediately suggests pairs of opposites: physical and metaphysical, flesh and spirit, earth and heaven. How do we live in the body and yet recognize and celebrate the soul? How is one manifested through the other? What do they tell us about the nature of human personhood? What might it mean to be “soulful”?
Prints, drawings, paintings, photographs, digital images, sculpture, and video are eligible.
Only original artwork produced within the past five years will be accepted—reproductions are not permitted. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

The 20" X20" X20" National Compact Competition was established over 20 years ago to bring contemporary art to LSU that was being produced throughout the country. Artists from all 50 states, with the exception of Alaska & Hawaii, have been active participants throughout the life of the competition. Approximately four thousand art enthusiasts over a two month period travel to the LSU Student Union Art Gallery each year to visit the exhibit and take in the newest works in the contemporary art world.

Box Gallery is a cardboard box located in Palatine, IL. Started as an experimental art space, the gallery is a mobile exhibition space committed to exhibiting contemporary art of all media, including installation, performance, and video art, from emerging and established artists all in 6"x6"x6".

We are currently accepting proposals for solo exhibitions in our miniature space.
