NEW THIS YEAR,we are offering an extended 8-week session. Residencies will be awarded to 6-12 applicants (artists and artist couples). Session dates: Saturday, May 23, 2015 to Saturday July 18, 2015. Application deadline: February 1st. Awards announced: March 1st. The residency is housed in the medieval riverside village of Léhon, which is a "Petite Cité de Caractère" and is graced by a medieval abbey and its gardens and by the ruins of the oldest fortress in Brittany on a hill overlooking the village. Competitive residencies are open to artists and artist-couples working in any media. Application is free. The deadline to submit an application is February 1st, 2015. Applicants will be notified by March 15th. The Quarry at Marble House Project will run from May through September, 2015. Each session will host seven residents. Each residency sessions will be approximately three weeks. Marble House Project will provide housing, food and private studio space. Residents are responsible for all transportation and material costs. We are a multidisciplinary program. Applications that are accepted (but not limited to) are: visual artists, writers, choreographers, dancers, musicians and composers.
