The nude affects the way we see and interpret the rest of the world. It is something that goes unnoticed in our lives, but all of humanity, even the puritanical, confront it on a daily basis. Photography as a medium has no rules or limits. Its politics apply to whoever is making the image; it is vision, it is light and it is sight. Six shows per academic year support the School of Art and provide cultural enrichment to the surrounding community. The Gallery awards a stipend and provides the production and mailing of an exhibition postcard, catering and accommodations. Artists are given the opportunity to offer a gallery talk and/or presentation to PrattMWP students and community members. The PrattMWP SOA Gallery is somewhat unique in giving 100% of any sales to exhibiting artists.
