The Wave Pool AIR Program awards sponsored residencies to three local, national, and international artists per year. Residencies of 3-6 weeks include flexible live/work studio space, a month long exhibition in our gallery (when appropriate), opportunities for artistic community engagement and programming, and travel/living stipends when available. Residents become part of the dynamic artistic community of Cincinnati, Ohio and are asked to engage the community in at least one public workshop, program, or performance during their stay. Projects are to be artist developed and in line with their work. The program emphasizes two-way engagement, offering exceptional arts experiences to Wave Pools local community as well as unique benefits and exhibition opportunities to the artists in residence.

The Art Department of Sinclair Community College is seeking exhibition proposals. Those received by December 1, 2014 will be placed into consideration for the 2015 - 17 exhibition seasons. SCC has two separate, professionally designed galleries.
Exhibits are scheduled on a four to six week rotation. Artists are responsible for all shipping expenses and insurance while artwork is being transported to and from the gallery.

s 5th year, Target Gallery presents In the Flesh 5. This all-media exhibition examines contemporary artwork with the human figure as its subject. This call is open to national and international artists. Our Juror is Maryland-based painter Jeff Huntington.

Jeff Huntington received an MFA in 1997 from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BFA in 1995 from the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, DC. His work has been included in more than eighty exhibitions nationally and internationally over the past 25 years. His paintings are in private and public collections throughout the world, including The Rockford Art Museum in Rockford, Illinois and in U.S. embassies in the Philippines and Panama.

La Ira de Dios (LID), an artist-run space based in the center of Buenos Aires, Argentina, is hosting an interdisciplinary artists in residence program in January, 2015. The focus of this residency is new media, photography, mixed media and installations. The program is structured to create a space of creative exchange amongst a community of international and local artists.

This four week intensive residency will accept a select group of artists who will partake in weekly workshops taught by local artists and curators as they immerse themselves in new or ongoing projects.

The residency will culminate in a group exhibition in LIDs warehouse where our studios and new exhibition space are located. Studio and housing provided. $750 USD for 4 weeks.

This year's exhibition will take place in the Visual Arts Center's beautiful, brand new, 2,200 square foot gallery space located in downtown Huntington,WV. Works will be juried by Arif Khan, the Marie Price Ratrie Curator of Art at the Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences in Charleston, WV. A Juror's Choice Award consisting of a $200 cash prize will be presented to one artist selected by Mr. Khan. Entries are due by December 5th, 2014. Due to the effects of global climate change, scientists predict that Boston is headed for flooding that will change Boston's coast as early as 2050. Flooding will affect many of us, our neighborhoods, historical places, our means of transportation, and the accessibility of food. Co-curators and artists Jason Pramas, Susan Emmerson, and Stacey Cushner (the Collective) request 2D and 3D art from individual and/or teams of artists, architects and planners that focuses on the impact of flooding in Boston in the years to come.
