Deadline: 05/15/15

Type: Exhibition Opportunities [View all]
Posted by: St. Vincent de Paul of Georgia

The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Georgia invites photographers from across the state to capture and share not only the challenges facing this population, but also moments of hope and progress. Top entries will be displayed in the 100 Profiles of Poverty exhibit in recognition of our 100th anniversary.

All photos featuring human subjects will need to be accompanied by a waiver signed by the individual in order to be considered for the exhibit. Images selected for display will be matted, framed and exhibited to illustrate the challenges facing Georgia’s most vulnerable populations – and to generate support for SVdP’s programs that feed, shelter, clothe and educate the poor.

In addition to the 100th anniversary exhibit, we hope to share the collection with galleries across the state in 2014-2015. Accepted photographers will be listed in the exhibit program and invited to attend the opening as VIP guests.

Call for Art: Explore Group Exhibition at Flow Art Space
Deadline or Post Expiration: Thursday, May 15, 2014

Flow Art Space in St Paul, MN announces a call for the group exhibition Explore.

July 20th marks 45 years since Apollo 11 landed on the moon. That single yet astonishing act fueled the imagination and hopes of millions of people. All these years later, what do we explore in earnest today? What should we be exploring? Why is exploration important? What have we stopped exploring that may come back to bite us? Although inspired by the historical anniversary of our moon landing, the theme is open for interpretation.

This exhibition is scheduled for July 16 – August 2, 2014. Eligible artists must be 18+ years of age and ship work from within the United States. A variety of media is encouraged, and all 2D and 3D work will be considered. Work for the exhibition will be selected by Flow Art Space founder Melissa Metzler.

Early deadline to submit work is Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Final deadline to submit is Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Submission fee increases after the early deadline (read details at www.flowartspace.com under Submit Work).

Artists keep 100% of sales. Artists have a chance to establish ongoing relationships with their buyers because buyers purchase directly from the artists. Artists set their own prices and handle their own transactions by accepting their preferred method(s) of payment. Artists deliver or ship their sold work to buyers where necessary (however, buyers usually pick up at the gallery after artists receive payment). Artists may submit work For Sale or Not For Sale.
