Hello anyone who's still out there!  I finally, finally managed to release a beta of the newly re-compiled AQ for Mac and Windows. This compiles and runs on OS X Mavericks and Windows 8.1 (and hopefully earlier versions, though it seems we still have some issues with XP).  There is no install process necessary; just download, unzip and run AudioQuake.app (Mac) or AudioQuake.exe (Windows).  Other than this, I hope it seems very familiar.

Please note that there is an issue with Windows Firewall the first time you run it -- you'll get a pop-up dialog to explain what the issue is; hope that works.  I do expect some teething problems, but equally I have been testing this so hopefully it'll work OK for you.  Once this is working nicely, I would like to integrate the Level Description Language into AudioQuake's download, so that they are bundled together.

Whilst I appreciate that AudioQuake the game is of largely historical interest now, I feel it's important to get Level Description Language into people's hands, because I gather that there aren't many similar tools out there (though would be very happy to be wrong about that!)  Either way, I wanted to preserve this stuff for at least a while longer.

I have been made test with two different computers. The effort is the same. Thanks!

Sorry, but can you please describe? Does the sound stutter? Are you able to open the console and hear speech by pressing the '~' key? When the game first opens, you should be hearing a demo.

The game is in beta and I will need to try it on Windows again to see where we are. I am somewhat busy at the moment, but I will certainly be getting to it as soon as I can. Please bear with us.

Cheers,
Sabahattin
