Upgrade to Percussion 6.7

All,

It's been a while since we've been in touch with CMS related news, but
we have some good news to report involving an upcoming upgrade to
version 6.7 of the Percussion CMS system. The biggest item to note is
that due to the upgrade, the following CMS downtime will be necessary.

IMPORTANT DOWNTIME ALERT: Percussion CMS system will be inaccessible
between
Thursday, December 10 at 6am - to - Sunday, December 13 at 6pm

(Downtime only affects CMS authoring system, your public site will
still be completely accessible for viewing to the Web audience)

Just an FYI on the downtime mentioned above...there is a good chance
the downtime will be considerably less than that, but time was
allotted to deal with any issues that may arise with the upgrade.

This upgrade will bring several improvements and enhancements, which
are listed below:

* Faster, easier-to-use internal search tool
* More user friendly environment (icons for file types, etc)
* Simpler publishing model (publish on a page-by-page basis instead of
site-wide)
* Secure publishing mechanism - SFTP across the board
* Much improved back-end performance (users won’t see this, but allows
a much more stable environment)

Again, we thank our partners in AgriLife IT for managing this upgrade
process and look forward to taking advantage of the myriad benefits
once it's in place!
