All,

Well, with the latest iteration of the AgriLife family of sites
launched within the CMS, I think it'd be a great time for all of us to
not only meet back up to discuss some very positive development in the
realm of the CMS, but to also DO A MASS TRAINING and share lots of
tips and tricks we learned as we readied the Extension, Research and
AgriLife.org sites for launch.

I would like to propose the following meeting date, time and agenda:

Wednesday, August 19 at 10am (Location: TBD, but College Station on-
campus or near campus)

*10AM-NOON: LESSONS LEARNED IN THE CMS*

We'll share some of the issues we encountered when transitioning to
the CMS, along with solutions and nice, new features which allowed us
to do some fun stuff which working within any of the typical
constraints of a CMS.

We'll showcase how the new template design works in correlation with
dynamic navigation building in the CMS and the ability to adjust
different variables between sites using the CMS.

We'll also talk future of the CMS, plans moving forward on College
templates, and moving Extension and Research (as well as TVMDL) into
the CMS this Fall.

*NOON -1PM: LUNCH*

Break for lunch, which depending on RSVPs we can look to have brought
in or we can all do lunc on our own and then meet back up at 1PM.

*1PM-4PM: PERCUSSION CMS TRAINING/RE-TRAINING*

We'll offer a full training session in the CMS on a large scale to all
those who are interested. This can be for those who are already in the
CMS and wanting some re-training, those about to move in who need to
be trained, or those who are merely curious and would like to learn
more.

We have very much refined our training efforts as we are now frequent
users of the system, so this may be a great opportunity for us to have
a second chance to teach you the ins and outs of the Percussion CMS.
This will cover instances of both the College AND Extension and
Research, so for those who are responsible for sites involving all
three, this is a great opportunity to learn.

***RSVP: IMPORTANT***

If you are interested in attending, please either respond to this
post, or send me an email at eme...@tamu.edu, subject line: CMS Summit
2009. That will help me to gauge interest and find an appropriate
venue.

If you are interested, but can't attend that day, please shoot me an
email at eme...@tamu.edu as well and we'll look into arranging another
session at a later date.

Thanks,
Max
