Hello,

I have a question about APEXU v.1501. After starting to run the model, the calculation gets stuck right at the beginning and I can't figure out why. Could you please help me ?

Hello,
It seems that some information is missing in the subarea file. Are you able to run the model using the input files and executable available on the EPIC/APEX webpage of the Blackland Research Center?
If the model runs with the default input files, it means that one or more variables are missing in your subarea file.

Please, provide us with more information and we will help you.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply. I finally managed to solve the problem, but there was another one in my procedure. Would you know where it might be ?

I saw this error in other runs and it is very difficult to debug. Moreover, it can be caused by several factors and it can happen that in some cases the model runs without error even without any modification to the input file.
To be sure that the simulation is complete, you can open the .OUT file, scroll to the very end of it and check if a time stamp is printed (it reports the starting time of the simulation, the ending time, and the duration of the simulation). If the time stamp is included, the simulation is complete.

Let us know.

Hi Luca,

I haven't managed to solve the problem yet, but I would like to ask. As you wrote that somewhere there is a sample set of files on APEX (Blackland). Could I ask you to send me a link to this file ? Then I would try to change that file with my data one by one and I could see maybe an error.

Thanks,

Here is the link to the Blackland Research Center webpage dedicated to the APEX model. You will find the executable, example input files, and documentation.
