Hi,

I am currently trying to run APEX v.1501 (current supported version – June 2022). When I run APEX, the output files for the first run are generated, but it stops there and does not continue with the second run. I get this error message:

forrtl: severe (157): Program Exception - access violation

Dear Lamees,

Are you trying to run the model for several consecutive runs? If you can confirm this, I will try to replicate the error on my computer and I will let you know.

Hi Luca,

I had the same problem with just a single run as well though, so it is not the consecutive runs that are causing the problem.

Just another update:

I used the debug version and got this error,

Dear Lamees,

Please, check the dates in the management file because the error has to do with the calculation of a date.
Let me know if you find something strange.

Hi Luca,

I was not able to identify anything strange in the dates in the management file. But using the same input files, I tried to run an older version of APEX (APEX1501 v20190509-B). Running the release version ran with no issues. Running the debug version produced the same error (Subscript #1 of the array NC has value 0 which is less than the lower bound of 1). Just to summarize, debug versions of both older and newer APEX (June 2022; noted as APEX1501 ver.20201118_ArcAPEX) produced the same error, while the newer APEX release produced a different error, "Program Exception - access violation", and the older APEX release ran without any issues.

Lamees,

Could you please share with me all the input and output files of the run that is giving you the error?

Best,
Luca
