What are some of the challenges in pattern recognition?

Thank you for your question.

Pattern recognition from aerial agricultural images poses several challenges, including variations of pattern areas, amount of each annotated patterns and their properties, such as shapes and textures. We find that these properties make aerial agricultural pattern recognition a much more challenging task than common object recognition.
