Cancer-related fatigue has a multidimensional nature and complaints typically increase during adjuvant treatment for breast cancer. Physical exercise might prevent or reduce cancer-related fatigue. So far, no meta-analysis has investigated the effects of physical exercise on different dimensions of fatigue. The aim of the present meta-analysis was to investigate the effects of physical exercise during adjuvant breast cancer treatment on physical and psychosocial dimensions of fatigue. We performed a systematic literature search in PubMed, Embase and the Cochrane Library in June 2015. Randomised controlled trials reporting the effects of physical exercise during adjuvant breast cancer treatment on different dimensions of fatigue were included. Pooled effects of 6 exercise programmes (including 784 patients) showed significant beneficial exercise effects on general fatigue (ES: -0.22, 95% CI -0.38; -0.05) and physical fatigue (ES: -0.35, 95% CI -0.49; -0.21). Effects on fatigue subscales 'reduced activity' (ES: -0.22, 95% CI -0.38; -0.05) and 'reduced motivation' (ES: -0.18, 95% CI -0.35; -0.01) were also in favour of physical exercise. No effects were found on cognitive and affective fatigue. Including only the supervised exercise programmes (n=4 studies), slightly larger pooled effect estimates were found on general fatigue (ES: -0.25, 95% CI -0.47; -0.04) and physical fatigue (-0.39, 95% CI -0.56; -0.23). In conclusion, physical exercise during adjuvant breast cancer treatment has beneficial effects on general fatigue, physical fatigue, 'reduced activity' and 'reduced motivation', but did not show effects on cognitive and affective fatigue. Largest effect sizes are found for physical fatigue, suggesting that this is the fatigue dimension most sensitive to physical exercise.

The motions of an unsteady circular-disk squirmer and a spherical squirmer have been investigated in the presence of a no-slip infinite wall and a background shear flow in order to clarify the similarities and differences between two- and three-dimensional motions. Despite the similar bifurcation structure of the dynamical system, the stability of the fixed points differs due to the Hamiltonian structure of the disk squirmer. Once the unsteady oscillating surface velocity profile is considered, the disk squirmer can behave in a chaotic manner and cease to be confined in a near-wall region. In contrast, in an unsteady spherical squirmer, the dynamics is well attracted by a stable fixed point. Additional wall contact interactions lead to stable fixed points for the disk squirmer, and, in turn, the surface entrapment of the disk squirmer can be stabilized, regardless of the existence of the background flow. Finally, we consider spherical motion under a background flow. The separated time scales of the surface entrapment (thigmotaxis) and the turning toward the flow direction (rheotaxis) enable us to reduce the dynamics to two-dimensional phase space, and simple weather-vane mechanics can predict squirmer rheotaxis. The analogous structure of the phase plane with the wall contact in two and three dimensions implies that the two-dimensional disk swimmer successfully captures the nonlinear interactions, and thus two-dimensional approximation could be useful in designing microfluidic devices for the guidance of microswimmers and for clarifying the locomotions in a complex geometry.

In collaboration with Paladin, MGL Toys presents their WALL-E and EVE statue. Standing above remnants and trash left behind by humans, WALL-E cheerfully raises his arms as he holds the wing of the sleek and beautiful EVE. With the moon behind them setting the mood, the pair share a sweet moment.

The plastic density test quantified the amount of plastic waste that could be contained in each cube based on plastic mass. The average plastic mass for each cube was 87.93 grams or approximately 7-8 water bottles condensed into a 6-inch tall cube. Based on the dimensions of the cube and the estimated volume of the void column, approximately 30 cubes can fit when horizontally stacked into a void column. This translates to approximately 2.6 kg of plastic for every void column or around 10.5 kg of plastic waste for every 3.5-foot x 4-foot wall segment. This far exceeds the original project requirement which required 0.5 kg of plastic waste to be encapsulated in each brick, which would have a total wall plastic mass of approximately 5 kg.

The team required the wall to be able to withstand a compressive stress of 3 ksi and a shear stress of 0.3 ksi. The wall was tested via two CAD models made in Autodesk Inventor, a model of the full wall to test tipping and a smaller-scale model to test mortar slipping. Considering both models, the wall experienced a maximum Von Mises stress of 1.0 x 10-3 ksi meeting the compressive and shear stress requirements outlined by the project requirements.

Wall-E became my favorite robot from the moment I saw him in Pixar movie. It is my biggest dream to build him as full scale animatronic figure. I watch the Facebook group focused on recreating every detail of this character so it is possible. I have some experience in building at this scale on BB-8 project, but this robot has much more moving parts and everything is more complex. All I need is more space, free time and funds. This dream, needs to wait.

Wall_E builders club reverse engineered this character to build the full scale working robot, some of them can be found on Youtube. They have all their plans published for free, just sign in, browse and learn. They now moved to Facebook group

They did amazing job, their plans were professional with all the dimensions and 3d views, what saved me countless hours watching e Wall E movie on DVD trying to capture the images of the character from all angles. I still had to scale their drawings and prepare my own parts for laser cutting in styrene sheets. It was many of them, especially when making the tracks driving mechanism. To give you an idea, each of this 2 little parts on photo below was made of 59 separate pieces, assembled together and sanded.

This little guy was featured on TESTED.COM, along with the short interview with me, check it out if you want to learn more about this and other projects. They have amazing collection of podcasts and news and product reviews, you will love it. I visit their website everyday.

I got many requests after my first Wall E became very popular. I did not want to go through whole scratch building process one more time. I did it once, I now know I could make it and how much work it requires. I searched for more robust solution and I found the existing toy which was the right size to hide diamond ring. I now customize it to create the ring box v2.

Using toy as a base has many advantages. It is more robust and durable because it is not glued from many pieces and it has more points of articulation. I clean all the imperfections, seams, made in china signs and fill the screw holes. I then paint hit to high standard. It takes many hours to layer the rust and dirt and make him look alive. I still love painting him. If you are interested in buying one, send me message through contact form in About section.

I am so happy this little guy took part in many happy moments of proposal and even weddings. Here is one of the photos I received from Jared and Eva, one of the couples which trusted me with this project. The photo was made by @liasphotography2011

It is important when considering packaging to have a clear understanding of neck finish dimensions. When selecting a closure for a container there are several measurements needed to ensure a secure and sealed fit.

The official Glass Packaging Institute is a series of voluntary standards that allow for compatibility between manufacturers and users of containers & closures. The critera that makes up these standards incorporates thread turns, distance between threads, height, top beads, & continuous vs non-continuous threads.
