I have not seen any mails for quite sometime. I am also at fault for not sending any. I have not been keeping good health and it has taken sometime for me to recover. But I have been thinking about our plans and have shared a few points with Mr Giri. Anyway, I would like each one of us to answer the following questions?
- Can we do this ? (i.e., make this Agraharam happen)
- Can we bring a trust among our community members ?
- Will people stand by their commitment and make the payments on time ?
- Will people also occupy the agrharam ?
This may sound like we are starting from square one again. The fact is, we are still at Square One. I too have not stuck to my commitment of making the Palakkad visit. Possibly I have developed cold feet ....being sick is sometimes depressing.
We all need motivation.
So please send in your mails with your thoughts.
Regards
Siva, V

The INTERNET now has a personality. YOURS! See your Yahoo! Homepage. http://in.yahoo.com/
Making Agraharam is good to our community. Now only brahmins are backward. This Agraharam will start bringing unity amongst our community. Making trust one of the ways to command. But only elder or retired hands will be staying. Persons retired withe the financial help (may be) of their sons or daughters will stand by their commitment. Staying permanently or temporarily or staying away depends upon their circumstances. All the persons who are willing to purchase the plot are thingking to stay there.

I have a suggestion.
Now that we have the Christmas holidays coming up, possibly all of us could have a meeting at Palakkad. This will help us to understand each other better, bring in trust and commitment.
Best Regards & Happy Holidays

I am happy to see the responses provided by Mr. Sreenivasan and Mr Subramoniam. Also, it is good to note Mr Sreenivasan detailed responses and his effort to bring in more people into building Our Agraharam.
As Mr Giri has said, please come forward with your thoughts and comments.
.....modifying a well known saying "United We Build"
In the meanwhile, Wish you all Happy Holidays.

ps: Will also plan to be in Palakkad on the dates indicated by Mr Sreenivasan.

Sorry for this delayed response. Since returning from Bangalore, my net connection has not been working too well. Even my cell phone does not show the tower many times which has been exasperating.
Anyway, let me first wish and your family a Very Happy New Year 2010.
Regarding the visit, I have no problems about the same. But I am concerned about the group's participation. Since the response is minimal, my suggestion is, it would be better for us to focus on the suburbs of TVM (which is convenient for both of us).
Even if we pay 20 laks for an acre, the per cent cost is only 20k. Assuming 8 cents for a person, of which 25% will be for the common area, the cost will be 1.6 laks.
I am willing to come over to TVM any day after the 7th. Pls let me know.
