definitely the whole actitivity is gaining momentum with keen interest and involvement shown by the members.a few aspects which flashed in my mind and which could perhpas act as a checklist whilst selection of land may be reviewed:
1. we shud ensure we have a vaastu expert to see the land also and also his involvment at a later date to ensure the location, construction and the total layout is totally vaastu compliant. we should not overlook it.
2. uninteruppted water and power availibility
3. schooling and educational facilities
4. availibility of doctors , hospitals , and primary health centre.
5. distance from airpots, bus stand , railway station
6. bus routes near the land when slected
7. vegetables and provisions shops - near the selected area
7. communication facilities- net facilities, and other media of communication
8. easy availibility of domestic help, maintenance and other repairs facilities
9. petrol pumps , vehilce repairs shop .
10. temples and places of worship- nearby
these are a few of the points which came to my mind. i know it is wishful thinking to get all of them but nevertheless let these points also be borne in mind when we proceed on the land selection.
your suggestions and comments are invited .

I have a few words to say regarding the points made by Mr Ramesh Sivan
and Dr Siva.
Vegetable and provision shops are not be available near by any of the
lands inspected by me. I do not think that it is necessary to have
them close by. We are all going to remain together with common kitchen
facilities. We can always buy provisions in bulk and keep them in a
store. Vegetables can be bought straight from farmers who cultivate
them in rural areas.
Our aim is to have houses for the retired men and women. There is no
problem in accommodating their grand children in the township. But it
will be difficult to find good schools near the township.
If a temple is not available in the area, we can construct a small
temple in the township. After all God is omnipresent and He will be
present where ever we want Him to be.
Most of the facilities will be within five kms from the township. That
is all we can guarantee with the limited allocation of funds for land.
