Dear friends,

In spite of repeated requests, it is really unfortunate that the majority of the members do not even post mails to the group either in favour or against the proposals. I really feel sad to know that all my efforts in this regard do not deserve even a reply!

Well, thanks very much for listening to me so far.

I wish you all the best,

Dear Members,

I have also been wondering why there is no response from a majority of you.
It is distressing to note a lack of solidarity amongst us on this project.

Mr Giri has put a lot of effort on our behalf. So, just plain courtesy requires that you respond to him. In case, you are not interested in the project, it is okay to say so.

Pls note, I too have not met Mr Giri but believe in him as he is the only person who has taken ACTION on this project on our behalf.

Anyway, this being the Pongal season,
let me Wish ALL of You a Very Happy Pongal.

Pongatum Santosham, ....Pongatum Dairiyam

Dear Mr. Giri

After the initial stage, I am also guilty of not responding, but I am keeping all the mails connecsted with the Agraharam in a separate folder.  Of course, that is not enough.  I am definitely interested, and in fact I was looking for one economic accommodation in an Agraharam in and around Palghat.  So far even a place was not selected and not aware the total cost, I am keeping silent.

I understand the efforts taken by you and some more members, on behalf of all of us.  But at this stage my hands also tied.  I have a daughter and son, both are likely to get married soon and only afterwards my funds position will be clear, hence I am not able to commit anything.  Under the circumstances, I just do not want to send my suggestions, because my own position is not yet clear and probably may not be able to commit financially. However, I prefer a place in and around Palghat, as there are so many cultural festivals and functions take place so that my retired life would like to spend in such surroundings.

One small suggestion.   The way things are happening (to take all together and taking consenses) it is going to be very difficult.  Like other agraharams, may be 3-4 people (financially sound) decide the project and share the cost.  You can take a commitment amount of Rs.10,000/- from everybody.  While taking suggestions from everybody, the final decision should be with 3-4 people, else you will exhaust all your energy by running around, and it is almost impossible for all of us to meet and take decisions.

I am keeping abreast with whatever is going on.

Rgds.

Dear Dr Siva, Sambasivan and Srinivasan,

Since we are only four in number, we do not have to post mails to the group as these mails could be considered a nuisance for them. I have already asked them to opt out of the group but no one has done it so far either. I could have removed the names from the list. but general etiquette which reflects the culture of an individual or community prevents me doing that. So until all of them opt out, let us communicate through our E-mail IDs and not through the group.

Dear RV,

Since posting to you my last mail on the 17th, I have seen the developments taken place in the last two days. Since you four have finally decided to keep out others and go ahead with the Project all by yourselves, and have asked others to opt out from the same, I hereby withdraw my name from the Group. Please delete my name and my mail id from the Group.

As we part ways, I take this opportunity to wish your Project grand success, speedy completion and prosperity to all its members.

Sir,

If I receive an E-mail, and if it needs a reply, I do that immediately. My reply would have been sent within ten minutes of reading the mail. All that I wanted was whether the members are in favour or against my selection of land. If they cannot make a decision, they should at least say so. But remaining silent when I post details of lands after spending my time, money, and energy is tantamount to fooling me. It is simply disgusting.

Sir,
I like the plots near the dam. Where we can have peacefullness, natural beauty, soft temparature and other benefits. We can get peace of mind in the peaceful admosphear. The plots near Malampuzha Dam, and another place where one falls is there, I liked it. Other places are not bad, they also good. The price also is high in other places. You can select any place. The other realities ar also there though we want to purchase.

Sir,

The land near Malampuzha has already been sold out. If we do not take decisions soon, we will never be able to buy lands. The prices will sky rocket soon and I find it impossible to proceed with so many silent members. We four are committed to finding a land acceptable to all the four of us. We will select a land and if you are interested, you can join in.

Sorry for not sending any mails inspite of your repeated messages in regard to finding out of suitable plots for the persons who are interested in the greoup.  I was not in station and could not get access for any internet connection. I came now and saw your various mails from Browsing centre.  Therefore I was left with no other alternative but to keep mum on this subject.  I would be glad to know the latest position as to which plot you have selected so that I can imediately come back to you.  If the plots are somewhere in Palakkad area I am interested otherwise I will opt out from this.

I am extremely sorry onceagain for not keeping you informed of my interest.  Please pardon me for the same.

Dear Sir,

Thanks a lot for your mail. I have nothing against you as you had
really some difficulties in accessing the net. I came across a really
good site in Palakkadu near Nenmara but no one accepted it. Now I
understand that this site is not available for sale. The owner of the
property was unaware of the prevailing prices along the state high
way. So he apparently quoted a low price. Now he is not ready to sell
it for that price. You might have seen the photographs of the site.
Prices are sky rocketing again and if we wait for a consensus, we will
never be able to buy the land.

Plakkadu became the centre stage because most of the members who are
silent now, preferred Palakkadu area. Now the selection of site will
be jointly decided by four members. They are 1. Dr Siva, 2. Mr
Sambasivan, 3. Mr. Srnivasan and 4 myself. If you are interested, you
may join in. I cannot say where it would be located now. We have
decided to buy the land and then divide them into plots. So this group
will remain inactive and mails with property details will not appear
in it any more. Since the location could be anywhere in Kerala, the
decision to opt out is left to you. Please confirm.

Dear sir,

Pranams.

Yr msg of 21st. Thanks and well noted  its contents.

I am interested in the project if it materialises some where in Palakkad or Coimbatore.  I have no problem to advance equal share for bulk buying of the land for the project with four of you (names given in your msg) provided the land you buy is somewhere in PGT/CBE. Otherwise there is no meaning in my troubling you all unnecessarily and as you said you may go ahead with the project if it is in other place and in which case I will opt out from this.  If you happen to decide it in the place given above and if you four agree to include me also please let me know, so that I can also become one among you right from beginning of the project that would take place.

I am extremely sorry, if you think I have written something wrong or hurt you.

I await to hear from you

Dear Sri.Giri all other members,

I returned from Thrissur on 24th jan and reached Bhilai on 25th.I have gone through the mail sent by Sri.Giri.He has aired out his frustration and this should be taken in the most positive sense by other members.I had contacted Sri.Giri on 17th as promised and at that time only he expressed his deep sense of regret for not being able to come to Palakkad/thrissur as there were no informations from other members. At that time I also felt very bad and the lack of reply can be because  pre-occupation with other important activities also. Hence in the interest of all the members I plead all the members to come out with suggestion and though a little bit delayed we should come out with good workable solution.
I would like to request Mr.Giri not to sell of the house and landed property as of now as the real estate is not promising and the scenario will definitely take time to pick up.Hence our original aim of forming the group should continue and at least I expect that final group should be around 10-15.

Please keep in contact and let us form an unbreakable group. The community has already suffered because of the actions of the Govt.and other communities. At this time we cannot afford to remain splintered.Hence the request.

Dear Krishnan NS,

I think we have to do away with Palakkadu area. I had been to Shoranur
a week ago to inspect a land. It is not an ideal one for us. As I told
you already that I was searching for lands in Palakkadu only because
most of the members wanted the project to be in Palakkadu. But those
members are silent now and my own personal view is that Palakkadu is
getting more and more dry. The water table is going down and the
quality of water is also deteriorating. Bore wells of depth 100 to 200
feet have become quite common and the open wells do not have water at
all. It is therefore, not prudent to have the project in Palakkadu.

Now that the project will not be in Palakkadu, you have the option to
pull out. I am extremely thankful to you for extending your support
for the project. I assume that I can remove your name from the group
so that no more mails will be bothering you.

With kind regards,

Dear all,

The mails received in the recent past shows lack of patience and understanding on the part of the members who had shown interest at the begining. The very presumption that four persons from the group members are deciding everything itself is quite unfortunate.I have seen every mail of Sri.Giri and he had been requesting repeatedly to all to come forward with suggestions.Except for a very few no valuable suggestions used to be mailed to the members.
There should not be any blame game here.A more acceptable reason could be given to opt out of this venture.Differences of opinion do arise and it is in the interest of our community to show the understanding and clearly state the opinion on the activities instead of beating about the bush.
I still request to move with patience and determination so that we can succeed in our attempt.I agree with the view of Sri.Giri about the points he had mentioned about Palakkad. We as a community should come out of the possessiveness and be bold to move to other better places in Kerala which would be congenial for our way of life.

With regards to everyone and looking forward for a concerted effort and supprt of all

Dear Sri Srinivasan,

I am very happy to hear from you through both the mail and phone after a gap of five years.

Even though I have more than four acres here, I am planning to develop only about two acres for residential purpose.

I and my wife moved into the new house in January this year. I have listed all the salient features of this land in the website.

I welcome you with your family to my house.

Dear Mr Vekata Giri

Kudos your consistent effort to create an Agraharams for Brahmin eldets.  I also took in the project five years back.  I really looking for a project like that (if you recall I wrote a detailed summary of my visit to my grmmam after nearly 36 yeats - Chittur Thekkegrmmam in Palghat). In the last 4 years my life has turned turtle after I had a Paralytical Stroke.  My family don't want to go nor allow me to go in this condition.   Therefore I bought another house in Vasai, near Mumbai.

After doing so much do not leave half way.  You will get people.  There is so much demand.  Keep it going.  All the Best. God be with you.

Dear Mr Venugopal,

While I am very happy to hear from you after a long gap of four years, I am equally hurt to hear that you had a paralytic stroke. It is natural that your dear ones will not allow you to go anywhere else. I am sure that you will regain your strength and at least visit my new found place in the near future. I am looking forward to that day.

Regards,

R V Giri
