I have also been wondering why there is no response from a majority of you.
It is distressing to note a lack of solidarity amongst us on this project.
Mr Giri has put a lot of effort on our behalf. So, just plain courtesy requires that you respond to him. In case, you are not interested in the project, it is okay to say so.
Pls note, I too have not met Mr Giri but believe in him as he is the only person who has taken ACTION on this project on our behalf.
Anyway, this being the Pongal season,
let me Wish ALL of You a Very Happy Pongal.

Dear Mr. Giri
After the initial stage, I am also guilty of not responding, but I am keeping all the mails connecsted with the Agraharam in a separate folder. Of course, that is not enough. I am definitely interested, and in fact I was looking for one economic accommodation in an Agraharam in and around Palghat. So far even a place was not selected and not aware the total cost, I am keeping silent.
I understand the efforts taken by you and some more members, on behalf of all of us. But at this stage my hands also tied. I have a daughter and son, both are likely to get married soon and only afterwards my funds position will be clear, hence I am not able to commit anything. Under the circumstances, I just do not want to send my suggestions, because my own position is not yet clear and probably may not be able to commit financially. However, I prefer a place in and around Palghat, as there are so many cultural festivals and functions take place so that my retired life would like to spend in such surroundings.
One small suggestion. The way things are happening (to take all together and taking consenses) it is going to be very difficult. Like other agraharams, may be 3-4 people (financially sound) decide the project and share the cost. You can take a commitment amount of Rs.10,000/- from everybody. While taking suggestions from everybody, the final decision should be with 3-4 people, else you will exhaust all your energy by running around, and it is almost impossible for all of us to meet and take decisions.
I am keeping abreast with whatever is going on.
Rgds.

Sir,
I like the plots near the dam. Where we can have peacefullness, natural beauty, soft temparature and other benefits. We can get peace of mind in the peaceful admosphear. The plots near Malampuzha Dam, and another place where one falls is there, I liked it. Other places are not bad, they also good. The price also is high in other places. You can select any place. The other realities ar also there though we want to purchase.

Thanks a lot for your mail. I have nothing against you as you had
really some difficulties in accessing the net. I came across a really
good site in Palakkadu near Nenmara but no one accepted it. Now I
understand that this site is not available for sale. The owner of the
property was unaware of the prevailing prices along the state high
way. So he apparently quoted a low price. Now he is not ready to sell
it for that price. You might have seen the photographs of the site.
Prices are sky rocketing again and if we wait for a consensus, we will
never be able to buy the land.
Plakkadu became the centre stage because most of the members who are
silent now, preferred Palakkadu area. Now the selection of site will
be jointly decided by four members. They are 1. Dr Siva, 2. Mr
Sambasivan, 3. Mr. Srnivasan and 4 myself. If you are interested, you
may join in. I cannot say where it would be located now. We have
decided to buy the land and then divide them into plots. So this group
will remain inactive and mails with property details will not appear
in it any more. Since the location could be anywhere in Kerala, the
decision to opt out is left to you. Please confirm.

Thanks for your mail. All that I wanted was a straight opinion like
the one you have expressed. I am happy that you have put forward your
priority. I will definitely be in touch with you if we plan to have
the project in Palghat district. But Coimbatore is ruled out.
I have never been hurt by your words or anybody else's. Only silence would.

Thanks a lot for your whole hearted support which gives me immense
hope to achieve the target. Hope you had a nice journey back to
Bhilai. I feel now that I should have come to meet you irrespective of
whether there was any support from others or not. I really lost an
opportunity to meet you.
We will try our best to unite as many of of us as possible and leave
the rest to HIM. I consider this a lesson for us to understand the
realities of life. Let us not be overjoyed if we are successful.
Neither shall we be sad if we meet with failure. That is what
Parthasarathy tells us.
Thanks once again Srinivasan.

R V Giri
Sri Venkitagiri Sir, Hope your wounded heart came back with more strength. The land in Palghat is preferable. I am looking for the land preferably at Palghat wih the Brahmin community. Depending upon the financial condition I will join the group.

I think we have to do away with Palakkadu area. I had been to Shoranur
a week ago to inspect a land. It is not an ideal one for us. As I told
you already that I was searching for lands in Palakkadu only because
most of the members wanted the project to be in Palakkadu. But those
members are silent now and my own personal view is that Palakkadu is
getting more and more dry. The water table is going down and the
quality of water is also deteriorating. Bore wells of depth 100 to 200
feet have become quite common and the open wells do not have water at
all. It is therefore, not prudent to have the project in Palakkadu.
Now that the project will not be in Palakkadu, you have the option to
pull out. I am extremely thankful to you for extending your support
for the project. I assume that I can remove your name from the group
so that no more mails will be bothering you.
With kind regards,
R V Giri

A new member named Mr. Gopalakrishnan has just joined in and he too
prefers to have it either in Chalakudy or Kalady areas. Even though we
are just five in number, I am confident that we can move forward with
the project. We will definitely get more new members once we finalise
the project. I shall keep the concerned members informed of all the
developments.

1. The simple aim was to create an Agraharam that we could call our home.
2. It disheartening to see that some people are more interested in finding fault rather than in finding a solution.
3. Possibly we should post another mail in the 'Kerala iyer group'

Dear friends,In spite of repeated requests, it is really unfortunate that the majority of the members do not even post mails to the group either in favour or against the proposals. I really feel sad to know that all my efforts in this regard do not deserve even a reply!

| Dear Mr Vekata Giri Kudos your consistent effort to create an Agraharams for Brahmin eldets. I also took in the project five years back. I really looking for a project like that (if you recall I wrote a detailed summary of my visit to my grmmam after nearly 36 yeats - Chittur Thekkegrmmam in Palghat). In the last 4 years my life has turned turtle after I had a Paralytical Stroke. My family don't want to go nor allow me to go in this condition. Therefore I bought another house in Vasai, near Mumbai. After doing so much do not leave half way. You will get people. There is so much demand. Keep it
going. All the Best. God be with you. CM Venugopal Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android
