"Validate" option: what does it mean?

Hi,

For each annotation, there is a "validate" box. I just noticed that if we don't check the box after the annotation, when we export data, all the annotations not validated are not exported in the observation table. 

I suppose that we have to validate all the identifications before exporting data?

+ other question about uncertain annotations: do we also have to "validate" them? Does it change the observationProbability (0.5 when incertain, but if we validate it, it may mean that the annotation is not uncertain anymore...)

We would also like to better understand the function of the "validate" box, and confirm that even when not validated the data are exported.

Hi Raphaëlle,

If you validate the observation, it will set the probability to 1:

  CASE
    WHEN seq."isValidated" IS TRUE THEN 1.0::numeric
    WHEN obs."byai" IS TRUE THEN obs."aiconfidence"
    ELSE 0.5::numeric 
  END AS "classificationProbability",

Normally all observations are exported and if AI is used, the probability can range from 0.5 to 1.0.
