Hello,
In species list I do not find the option to mention hybrids.
As one of our target taxa, we would like to annotate hybrids of Felis silvestris and Felis catus (to be considered as an indication of hybridization based on picture...).
What option in AGOUTI would you suggest to use for that?
For the moment we added an item "hybrid" in section "Behaviour", but adding an item "Felis silvestris x catus" in species list would be more clean.
Thanks!

As it is impossible to distinguish Felis-hybrids on pictures without genetics, I would recommend to use one of the species and mention it under remarks!
(possibly hybrid).
It is even not possible to say if a Felis silvestris lookalike is a pure one or if this is a hybrid.

Best Olli

Thanks Olli, I agree with you. Our camera traps are systematically associated to a hair traps and hybridization is every hair sample is analyzed genetically with SNP markers.
Having the ability to more easily annotate (likely) hybrids would help in our process to join genetic and photographic datasets. Our monitoring started in 2012 and is not expected to end so that would be a good investment for us.

Thanks!
