Issue with camera trap calibration and distance calculation

Hello,

I am working on a REM application with camera trap data. I completed
the field calibration and added markers on the calibration photos
(classified as deployment calibration), but I cannot add any markers
to the animal photos to track their paths (which, as I understand, is
required for Agouti to calculate the distance travelled).

I also tried uploading both calibration and animal photos in a single
deployment, but the problem persists. On the calibration images I see
the warning "Camera calibration missing for this deployment. Please
contact support.", could this be the reason?

Do you have any advice for this issue? If you have a link for a
tutorial with the full workflow, that would also be very helpful.

Hi Niccolo,

The message "Camera calibration missing for this deployment" means that we don't yet have a camera calibration in our system for the specific camera model and resolution you are using. I've attached instructions on how to take the camera calibration images. If you could send these to ago...@wur.nl, we'll add them to the system.

Even without a camera calibration, you can still start drawing the animal's tracks. Simply click the edit symbol on an existing animal annotation, and you can add positions on the image.
