Hello everyone,

We seem to have some trouble with the time start and end in Agouti. We usually manually enter is and sometimes Agouti changes it in the deployment table but when you click edit, the time is correct. It also happens the other way around.

We are just starting to use it for the team and our project so we want to know if this is something to be worried about or if it's just an error in the website but the data is okay. We set the UTC offset to UTC+8 for the project and we wonder if this is also has an effect and that maybe Agouti is changing the start and end time automatically.

Thank you so much to anyone who would answer.

All the best,
Rollyna

Hello,

I have also observed differences between the deployment table and the edit deployment screens, and would like to better understand how timezones work in Agouti. My suspicion is that the deployment edit screen displays the start/end time in the local timezone of the user's computer, whereas the deployment table may be displaying the timestamps differently.

For camera trap data, I expect timestamps to always display in the deployment's local time, but I'm unsure if that's the case in Agouti. My current understanding is that the UTC Offset setting is used to interpret imported image timestamps, and for writing the timezone into timestamps when exporting data.

I would appreciate clarification on:

* where and how the UTC Offset is applied
* what timezone timestamps are displayed in within Agouti
* what happens if the UTC Offset is changed after deployments and observations have been created
