Game of Thrones Black Friday Prep--November 25 in NYC

You are receiving this email because you (1) indicated interest in attending this year's annual Black Friday tournament, or (2) you are on the NYC or East Coast email list.

This year's Black Friday tournament is approaching. With less than a month to go, here are a few reminders:

•  All Game of Thrones LCG cards printed through Tourney for the Hand, the first chapter pack of the A Tale of Champions cycle, are legal for the tournament, excluding those explicitly banned from tournament play (as listed in the most recent FAQ). Subsequent chapter packs and/or expansions WILL NOT BE LEGAL for this event. (Reprints of existing packs/expansions WILL be legal.)

•  The event will adhere to the most recently posted FAQ on FFG’s website, posted here: http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_minisite_sec.asp?eidm=10&esem=4.

If you will attend, PLEASE NOTIFY ME (if you have not already) by emailing NightsW...@gmail.com with the subject line “Black Friday” AND include your T-shirt size (medium, large, XXL, etc.). Walk-in participants are welcome, but we cannot guarantee we will have the correct T-shirt size unless you let me know in advance--the sooner the better!

Top Player of Each House   1-of-a-kind custom deck box

Sansa (last place finisher)   1-of-a-kind custom deck box

 

ALL PARTICIPANTS will also receive an official Black Friday VII T-shirt, designed by Jason Nicoll.

 

The event will follow standard FFG guidelines for a 1 vs. 1 “Joust” competition. FFG lists full rules for competitive play on its website (www.fantasyflightgames.com). There will be five preliminary rounds of “Swiss” styled 1 vs. 1 pairing, with cut to top four or top eight (depending on turnout) for quarter- or semi-finals.
