Dear Sir/Madam:

We are interested to integrate Agilito with QualiPSo (Quality Platform
for Open Source Software, www.qualipso.org), a European Commission
funded research project that aims improving the quality of open source
software. One particular area we are interested is to integrate
Alilito with the quality models developed in QualiPSo. We would like
to know how to access information below from Agilito, for example, are
they stored in a database, a log file, or xml file?

# The running total of logged hours versus estimates for an iteration
# Summary screen to find and manage all information related to a user
story
# Log your hours against tasks and easily update the state of task
also
# Backlog screen for storing and refining requirements

Best regards

Hi Hongbo,

Thanks for the interest in Agilito.

All the aspects you mention are handled in Agilito. Agilito uses a database to store the information and web interface to interact with it. Related to what you asked about, there are screens for:
- hours logging (and updating task state simultaneously)
- user story overview (with all related info)
- backlog
- hours summary (logged vs estimated).

Chris

Dear Chris:

Many thanks for your reply!

We need to extract information like:
- hours logging (and updating task state simultaneously)
- user story overview (with all related info)
- backlog
- hours summary (logged vs estimated).

and integrate them with our models/tools developed in QualiPSo.

What I would like to know:

1) How I can get those statical information pragmatically, for
example, via SQL query, via a log file, or via a SOAP interface or
something else?
2) Assuming we need to query the database, can you provide us the
related table, column information and the DB schema?

Best regards

Hongbo

Hi Hongbo,

Sorry I don't have time to help with this, and I'm not a developer. At minimum you could get those from SQL queries and could probably take it directly from the pages I mentioned, as those will load the information you are looking for.

Once you get it set up it will probably be much easier to understand.

Chris

Thanks Chris. We decide to try xplanner first since it has more
information. If we have time we will try to digg into Agilito.

I am currently abroad with limited net access; I will be back the
20th, at which time I can answer your questions in more detail.
XPlanner has been dormant for a while; a better bet would be Agilo42
or (of course) agilito. Except for the pair-programming bits, I am not
aware of features missing from agilito that are present in xplanner,
if there are, I would love to know about it. The schema for agilito
can be downloaded from http://projecten.han-imao.nl/agilito/schema.sql

Thank you Emiliano for the information. We will have a look on that!

Database. json or xmlrpc can be provided, but database is easiest.

Available in the tasklogs

Yep.

Yep.

There's a backlog view, and requirements are stories or tests against
stories. Available.

I'm back. Feel free to post questions, a lot has been added over the
past few days, so some of the stuff you felt was lacking may have been
resolved by now.
