That was a great one last night. Thanx to Arup and BlastAsia for hosting. Thanx to the 19 people that showed up :-) We even broke our timebox and went overtime. I guess that's a good thing, right?

Although we had a bunch of topics we wanted to tackle, I think the one that we voted for did make the most sense. For everyone's info, the topic was Estimation, how to do it and what are its purposes. I think we kinda closed the loop on that one, otherwise we can continue discussing here. If it helps, here's a link to my presentation slides and a snippet of the video of the talk at Agile Tour Hong Kong that tackles estimation and planning too.

Our plan is to do this bi-monthly, last Wednesday of that month. We had really good suggestions on how to conduct it better i.e., lightning talks, planned talks, let the current host decide the format. Also, we would like to vary the location too (depending of course who will offer to host). And of course, there are no steering committees, no management, no controlling group. Anyone in the community are encouraged to chip in.

Another topic is do we need to move our of Google Groups and on to other group collaboration websites? (Google Groups is going to be killed by Google soon). We can perhaps discuss that here too.

Last night also showed how we can support each other with regard to doing things better :-)

Time to move move move!

regards,
mike
