Dear Friend,

A short note to update you on the latest developments in agile
learning, and invite your participation.

+ Face to face

To get some Agile Learning discussion and collaboration started,
we're joining up with an established London-based meet-up with very
similar interests. This one is run by friends at the School of
Everything (schoolofeverything.com), and takes place weekly at the
Royal Festival Hall.

On Wednesday 4th August, from 11am, we'll be having an open and
wide-ranging chat about a future programme of meetings. On Wednesday
25th August we'll be reflecting and building on that chat, and
focusing on who will do what needs to be done. I will be sharing the
data from the Agile Learning Survey so far - though we still need
more (see below).

Please come along if you can, we're on Level 5 of the Royal Festival
Hall, five minutes walk from Waterloo (call me on 07899 791419 if you
can't find us). If you can indicate your attendance at
http://www.meetup.com/School-of-Everything/calendar/14241630/ it
would be helpful, but it's OK for anyone just to turn up on the day.

(All this activity is London-centred at the moment, because that's
where I am.This need not stop anyone else starting activity
elsewhere. You don't need permission, though I'd be glad if you could
let me know.)

+ Online

I've added three more interviews on Agile Learning themes to my blog
(these will all be moved to a more obviously 'shared' website, when
we have one):

- David Gauntlett on "making is connecting" and learning with Lego
http://alchemi.co.uk/archives/ele/david_gauntlett.html

- David Jennings elaborates on agile learning
http://alchemi.co.uk/archives/ele/elaborating_on_.html

- Fred Garnett on learner-generated contexts
http://alchemi.co.uk/archives/ele/fred_garnett_on.html

Look out for more in the coming weeks.

+ More feedback still needed

We don't yet have enough responses to the Agile Learning Survey
either to give us a strong steer or to make a credible case to
interested third parties (other learning groups, funders etc).

Do you have a mailing list on a learning theme, a Twitter or Facebook
account, or other messageboard? If so, please consider posting this
address there, and encouraging others to spend 10 minutes completing
the survey.

All the best,
David Jennings
