Abstract:

You won't find the words "manager" or "leader" in the Agile Manifesto.
That is not to say that management and leadership need not exist in
Agile projects. In this lecture, Javid will discuss the fundamental
principles of the age old concept of "servant leadership" and talk
about how it fits into Agile software development.

About the speaker:

Javid is a programmer and author of the upcoming book JBoss in Action.
When he's not cranking out code, he teaches and writes about the Agile
value system and methodologies. His passion for Agile began when he
started working on Extreme Programming and Scrum teams in 2000. For
the last two years, he has been traveling the country, coaching and
training managers and software teams on adopting Agile. He has
recently given up his "road warrior" status to spend more time with
his wife and children in Houston. Javid is currently working as a team
lead for PROS.
