Hi Hans,

Just realised that your link reminds me about articles by Karl Scotland about Cost Of Delay http://availagility.co.uk/tag/cost-of-delay/

By that tag you could also find the article about "Real Options" where the conference submission process is used as illustration of different approaches to use Cos Of Delay.
