At this point, we don’t have anyone to lead the Sept. meeting.  I’m very sorry but I simply can’t get back to C’ville that night to do it.  Co-Scrum master volunteers are welcome!

If someone would like to volunteer to fill in for just this month, we can go ahead and have the Sept meeting, otherwise we’ll just plan on the Oct meeting which I have already made arrangements to be at.  Call me at (804) 221-3053 if you can volunteer.

I did want to let you know that there will be a blitz of opportunities the second week in October.  They are:

Kanban Training:

Daniel Vacanti is offering his Kanban training in Richmond on Oct 10-11.

Daniel was one of the founders of the Kanban Method along with David Anderson.  He is literally a world class instructor and one of the limited number of people who can offer the LKU Accredited Kanban training.   We are very fortunate to have this level of training offered in Richmond!

I took Daniel's training in Feb of this year and found that I had everything I needed to go back to my organization and effectively implement a successful Kanban system.

For more details on the class, go to

Capital Kanban with none other than Daniel Vacanti:

Capital Kanban is a local interest group similar to Agile C’ville but with a focus on Kanban.  We are very lucky to have Daniel come to speak to our group at Twin Hickory library in Glen Allen on Oct 11th from 6:30-8:00.  This is about one hour away from Charlottesville and we could work on carpooling if there is enough interest.   Call me for more information (804) 221-3053 or join the meetup at CapitalKanban.org.  I’ll forward the topic once I get that from Daniel.

Innovate Virginia:

This is a one day conference that brings innovation thought leaders together right here in Richmond!  It got great reviews last year.  They sold out early last year and expect to do the same this year, so register early for this one.  At $149.00 and local, it's the best deal in town!  Capital Kanban will have a table at this event as Agile Richmond has been a gracious supporter of all we are doing in our LIG!

Andrea,

Did we get a volunteer leader? The conf room is available if we have a leader. Otherwise, I'll see everyone next month!
