Huddle has secured $24 million Series C funding and are now looking to hire a number of experienced QAs (lead & mid levels) to join the team and be part of the growth plans for 2012 / 2013 (which are big!!).

The position

Huddle is looking for a QA leader to join our rapidly expanding team at our HQ near Shoreditch. Reporting to the QA Manager, this position has the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities

Leading and mentoring other QA team members
Working as a member of a cross functional team comprised of C# Developers, UI Developers and QA Engineers to build quality in the product
Designing test cases, both manual and automated, to cover new functionality being developed
Creating, reviewing and maintaining robust automation tests
Coordinating the execution of manual and automated regression testing
Reporting and managing defects through to successful resolution
Improving the maturity of the team’s quality assurance tools and processes
Contributing product ideas and working with the Product Team to help refine requirements

Required experience and qualifications

Commercial experience in a team leading role
Commercial experience working with Scrum, XP or a similar Agile methodology
An understanding of Test Driven Development and/or Business Driven Development
A proven track record testing the user interface and deeper layers of the application
A good understanding of what API /API testing is
Experience in test automation for web applications using Selenium RC/ WebDriver or a similar framework, as well as cross-browser testing
Experience of testing and automating desktop applications is desirable
Experience of mobile testing (IOS/ android) and mobile automation is also desirable
A basic understanding of object-oriented programming principles and the ability to write simple code in at least one OO language, such as Java or C#
A good understanding of relational databases, and experience writing SQL queries and insert/update statements
Experience collaborating with programmers and business experts
A genuine passion for ‘web 2.0’ in general; and elegance, usability and quality standards in particular
Knowledge of at least one scripting language would be a bonus

Hi Michelle,
How are things with you? Don't know if you remember but we worked together at Conchango/EMC.

I'm wasn't seriously looking for a job change but that job description is really attractive and the required skills read like my CV!

Could you give me some idea about the salary range for the Lead roles?

I think salary will be a challenge as we are paying approx 50k + 10% + juicy shares

Hi Michelle,
Things are good thanks. I hope you are keeping well?
I think the salary would be a challenge alright. I'm on 70K with 4.5K car allowance. The job sounds more enjoyable but I have a mental block against a salary cut!
