Here is an interesting blog post from Laura Brandau titled "Thoughts on
quality vs. speed-to-market"

She quotes a rather interesting and powerful definition of quality:
"Quality is the ability to deliver value now and in the future."

She also mentions "quality becomes the foundation of speed and value and it
literally becomes nonsense to sacrifice quality to deliver value now."

I think that this notion which is not really new, is finally starting to
sink in.
I've never seen a case in which people trading speed with quality ended
well.
