Story of Simplified Chinese translation

It was started at 22nd May 2010, initially with "Chinese Translation", and later the name itself became a hot topic, because of the differences between Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese. At 10th June 2010, it became two separated translation versions, this one for Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese lead by Steven Mak and Chris Tong.

China is too big, Agile is still a new topic there, also the understandings vary a lot, also there's not a top leading Agile community, aligning and linking those communities together cost a lot of time. The discussions were not active too, so later the strategy changed to create a dedicated discussion group <http://www.linkedin.com/ ... ;gid=3700878> "Agile Manifesto (Simplified Chinese)" at LinkedIn , due to Yahoo Groups' poor support on Chinese encoding, and Google Groups' occasional problem with Chinese GFW. Then started to route discussions at other places to this group.

The "to be published" version was published at 25th Nov. 2010, then the "for final review" version at 1st March 2011, the 2nd "for final review" version at 8th March, and last version for comments is the one <http://www.linkedin.com/ ... Egmp_3700878> "Planned to Publish at 28th March", which Xu Yi modified to be more Chinese, in its style of wording, sentences and habits.

It's a bit interesting that, people contributed more comments on those "to be published" and "for final review" versions than those drafts in the past.

Have contacted <http://www.infoq.com/cn/> InfoQ China and <http://www.csdn.net/> CSDN to publish news about the Simplified Chinese Agile Manifesto done, should appear on their website after the translation has been published.

Hi, sorry about the slow response!

We haven't internationlized the history page of the manifesto yet, so if you translate it we can't put it under agilemanifesto.org. We might change this in the future, but it is not a priority right now. However if you want to translate the history page and put it up on some other site that is perfectly fine!
