Are people coming to Agile 2010? Want to get together to talk about
badges, certs, etc? Chet and I are there Weds, going home Friday,
and have a talk Friday sometime. Could get together ...

I wish, but sadly I'm stuck in the humid subtropical wasteland that is
Palmetto, Florida. I *may* be able to join in remotely (e.g. Skype) as
long as we don't get a thunderstorm rolling through and knocking out
network access. As long as someone captures any decisions that are
made, I am sure my absence would not be a problem.

Regards,
Richard

Would Wednesday or Thursday evening suit then? I'm keen.

D'oh! I had forgotten that Agile 2010 had been forced to relocate.
I'll have to check with my boss, and my wife (the real boss), but
Orlando is within sensible driving distance....

Hi,
I'm mostly a "lurker," but I've wanted to write a story about the Agile Skills Project (or maybe about badges) for SearchSoftwareQuality for some time.  I'll be at the Agile conference and would love to meet up with any of you who are there.  I've got a pretty busy schedule, but let me know if/when there will be a meeting and I will try to be there!

By the way, this month our "theme" is on professional development and careers, so a perfect time for an article.  We pay freelancers, too, so if you like to write and have an interest in submitting content (800-1000 words), contact me at yfra...@techtarget.com

Thanks!
Yvette

Regards,
Richard

Thursday afternoon works well for me.  I plan to go to this session by Cory Foy:

1:30pm
Next up at 1:30pm on Thursday Cory Foy will be presenting "Technically Distributed - Tools and Technology for
Distributed Teams" which is targeted at organizations who have distributed and dispersed teams, and what tools
and processes you can use to increase the communication and flow of these teams

Anyone else going to that and want to meet afterwards?

My cell is 303-803-6263.  Even though I have so many meetings and interviews schedules, I don't have anyone I know personally yet. I'm trying to get a group together to eat for Monday night.

If you're interested, let me know.  Probably the best way to reach me is via text or call on my cell.  Again, that's 303-803-6263.

Thanks!
Yvette

Monday night is the opening reception. There is often enough free food at these events to avoid having to pay for dinner.

WooHoo! I'll have at least one person at my session! ;)

Let's put it on the OpenJam board and email the list. We can create an artifact which could be updated throughout the conference.

Is anything going to happen on this? If it is, and it's outside work
hours (or I can get the time off), I plan to drive up and join you. My
preference would be Thurs (tomorrow) evening, but I understand that
for those actually attending Agile 2010 it may make more sense to meet
during one of the scheduled break times.

Regards,
Richard

P.S. Sorry for the recent silence from me. My company's only System
Administrator left suddenly last week, and I was selected as the
person to act as the interim SysAdmin. Last time I was in that role, I
was supporting 20 users and 3 servers in one location, so the 100+
users in multiple locations with 25+ servers (including the virtual
ones), assorted new security/filtering devices and multiple countries
has been a bit of a challenging learning experience!

I think Thursday eve is the banquet. People will want to go to that
as it is at Epcot.

If someone sets a time, Chet and I will try to be there. Today we
have a 1030 meeting and plan to attend a 1:30 session. Tweet / email
/ and grab us in the hall.
