User Experience Engineer
Austin, TX
3 Months with possible extension or conversion

Description:
Seeking a User Experience Engineer to provide analysis, prototyping, and UI integration of bank/merchant-facing applications for web/mobile.

Must have skills: Candidates must be high level with JavaScript, CSS HTML5. Must also have experience with Angular JS and need to know how to integrate on the server side. Must have a good attitude, love for technology, positive personality, and be easy going.
Nice to have skills: Responsive Design Principles a plus. Nice if candidates can go with the flow, and take leadership of their relationship with the customer. Also a plus if they have a very team oriented personality. 

Education/Experience
Bachelor degree in Design, Engineering, or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience required

Responsibility level
Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor

Skills
HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript (Required)
Experience with AngularJS and jQuery (Required)
Experience with at least one server-side language/framework such as Groovy-Grails/RubyOnRails, etc. (Required)
Expert understanding of the DOM (Required)
Experience with SCM - SVN/Git/AccuRev/Etc. (Required)
Understanding of UX and the design techniques and principals involved in the production of conceptual prototypes, wireframes, and HTML Prototypes (Required)
Web Standards and Accessibility Best Practices (Required)
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required)
Ability to analyze written requirements and visually conceptualize the user interface and application flows (Required)
Ability to work independently and manage one s time (Required)
Knowledge of Adobe products (Required)
Responsive Design Principles a plus

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities
Work with server-side engineers to implement UIs into an application environment
Design engaging, usable, and accessible UX interactions for the web and mobile this can be in the form of code and/or technical notes
Analyze existing software (web and mobile) for Usability and Accessibility issues and provide recommendations for improvement
Work with diverse team of product owners, UX designers, and developers in fast paced environment, with quick iterative cycles
