Hi Rich and all,
I’m in favour, when I was in London around 2001 it was a common theme to have a meeting with presentations followed by pub networking afterwards – their Agile Interest Group was very large.
Email always has it’s limitations although I’ve reading the threads with interest as they come through – probably a lot of people are without necessarily feeling the need to contribute.
If TW donate their offices then it’s a great (free) way to get us together. I’m can also potentially organize a post working hours meeting location in Melb for a meet in the future.
cheers

You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Agile Alliance Australia" group.I agree with the rotation idea. I know Sensis would be very happy to host a Melbourne meeting.

I think rotating around different company offices is a great idea. It takes the pressure off any one person to organise the sessions and of course it gives everyone a chance to take a sneaky peak at what other teams are up to and get a sense of their work environments. It also means we're less likely to always go to the same pub...

Likewise … Suncorp would be glad to host – can be 601 St Kilda Rd or in the City at 447 Collins J
Cogent would be happy to host in Melbourne as well, but you need to come out of the city to deepest darkest Collingwood. Though not the truly deepest, darkest part.

Happy New Year. The Agile Academy as part of Suncorp has already set
up a Brisbane Agile Meetup group so perhaps this could be used in
conjunction with AAA so that we don't dilute the pool but bring all
Agile groups in Brisbane together. We should be happy to provide a
room at Brisbane Square.
