Hi everyone,
Hope you all are doing well. Just checking in, it's been a year now
since my surgery and no recurrence of tumor. The next MRI will be in 6
months. I am feeling fine and hoping this thing stays away. I am not
taking any additional medications at this time; just a wait and see
approach. Wishing everyone a blessed and Happy Thanksgiving. Take
care.

HI everyone and happy thanksgiving. I have had 3 recurrences in 12 years.
Januaray 2007 was my last surgery and I had a hysterectomy as well as the
tumor removal. MY first diagnosis was 1n 1997.

Its been 2 1/2 years since the last tumor surgery..and so far so good. I
wont lie chemical menopause is hell with no estrogen replacement therapy.
( AAM is a ectrogen dependent tumor). I did a short corse of femara but I
felt like i was 95 years old from the artiris it caused. I am still a
patient at SF comprehensive cancer center. I get MRI every 6 months and see
my oncologist 3 times a year. Im more then happy to give my phone # to
anyone who wants to talk about this.

Thank your for your responses, appreciate greatly. Right now I am not
taking any medication or any hormone manipulation therapy. The only
thing I did was go off birth control pills. I'll have to see what
happens, my other option is to perhaps have my ovaries removed since
this tumor is estrogen receptive. Sheeba thanks so much for sharing
your number, I may call you in the near future if you don't mind. It
really helps to hear from others with this type of tumor, since there
is not alot of information or set protocols on how to treat. Please
take care and hope to hear from you all soon.
