surgeries toremove thelarge tumor, that was 6 years ago and so far I
show no signs of return..my question to all of you is...what is our
common link? I am a 3rd generation DES grandaughter and am now finding
there are higher occurances in reproductive abnormalities and types of
cancer...have any of you also had exposure to this drug in utero or
thru 3rd generation

Welcome, and very glad you wrote. Great news that this tumor has
stayed away for so long!!!! It brings me hope. Good question, I think
about that alot too. In my case, I was not exposed to DES or any other
toxin that I can recall. But who knows...I am now 6 months from my
initial surgery withou any signs of recurrence---All visible tumor was
removed. Encouraging but time will tell...If you don't mind where was
your tumor located and how large? Have your doctors treated this
before and are you on any hormone manipulation medications? This tumor
is so rare, there is just not alot of information or studies going on
right now. Well take care, and good health to all.
