GSL Biotech was founded by scientists and software designers to meet the everyday needs of molecular biologists. GSL's SnapGene desktop software (snapgene.com) is used in virtually every major research institution, and in more than half of the largest pharmaceutical and biotech companies worldwide. The software provides a simple yet powerful way for researchers to plan, visualize, document, and share their everyday molecular biology procedures. Free trials of the software are available from the SnapGene website.
"We are honored to welcome SnapGene into our growing portfolio," said Thomas Swalla, CEO of Insightful Science. "The company has already had a phenomenal impact advancing research at leading institutions and biotech and pharmaceutical companies. We look forward to empowering even more scientists with this technology, and further serving and supporting the global scientific community."

SnapGene was created by scientists and software designers to meet the everyday needs of molecular biologists. The SnapGene desktop software (snapgene.com) is used in more than fifty countries, in virtually every major research institution, and in most of the largest pharmaceutical and biotech companies worldwide. The software provides a simple yet powerful way for researchers to plan, visualize, document, and share their molecular biology procedures. Free trials of the software are available from the SnapGene website. In addition to SnapGene, GSL Biotech offers the free SnapGene Viewer, which includes the key visualization tools of SnapGene and allows researchers to make DNA maps and design primers, as well as SnapGene Server, which allows interactive DNA maps to be displayed in a web browser.
SnapGene is the easiest way to plan, visualize, and document molecular biology procedures. The software providesintuitive visualization of DNA constructs, automatically documents cloning simulations, and offers a convenient way to share richly annotated molecular biology data. It is now used by more than 265,000 researchers in 65 countries, including leading academic institutions and commercial customers ranging from startups to biotech and pharmaceutical giants.
SnapGene 7.0 is now available for upgrade or purchase through the website www.snapgene.com or by emailing in...@snapgene.com for a quote. For existing customers with an active subscription, the upgrade is complimentary.
Does anybody here know if it#s even posssible to trick snapgene into giving me free trials anymore? I guess I've had like 5 free trials so far, all on the same computer. Don't know why it's suddenly a problem.
