Friends:
Ordinary Agents feel betrayed and frustrated. Majority feel TAAI & TAFI have let them down badly and are now fighting for the chair - in a vulgar display of greed and ambition - not service to the Travel Trade. Many of you have expressed that BIJI EAPEN / IAAI has been fighting sincerely but DID NOT GET support from other associations. There are instances that they even scuttled their efforts. What can you do now ? Simple ACT decisively.
1. DO NOT RENEW your membership of TAAI & TAFI . They don't do anything anyway(Don't worry they will not strike your membership off. Might even pay on your behalf during elections and ask you to vote:)2. Become a member of IAAI today. pull down the application from www.iaai.in and send in (all the 70 plus who are in this mailing list please)3. If possible, ask couple of your friends to become members of IAAI as well
3. You will see the difference in 48 hours if you act NOW.RgdsA4AP.S.: If you don't act, stop complaining and sending mails to all and sundryOn Thu, Mar 27, 2014 at 6:15 PM, Ashok Joshiya <ashokj...@gmail.com> wrote:

Friends you need to do something and do something fast these leaders of TAAI are not going to help you and I do not feel that they will allow good people to come in because of their own selfish interest .---------- Forwarded message ----------

Subject: What Can be done Now
To: krishna rao <rao.kri...@gmail.com>Dear Sir ,All these messages are very confusing and also a bit scary at times to see that within our fraternity there is so much distaste and anger among us .Today Supreme court will Act upon the BCCI chief and his colleagues , The court has already given the verdict on TAAI elections but , has TAAI acted ? Will the members ask all those who participated in the wrongful decision taken by this Managing committee for an explanation ?However as you rightly put it people as in TAAI members deserve what they get as they had a chance but they lost it . If you see the message from Ms Bhatia you will realize how desperately people are seeking a change .I,d like to mention that I had been seeing so many message's from senior TAAI member and also a candidate for the President Mr Sanjay Narula talking about Service Tax with detailed presentation for almost an year ago which he actively worked and championed the cause .When i saw a TAAI presentation on services tax exactly similar and very much in line with what he had been talking about . Also on weekly he had been sending messages and speaking on the subject for over a year , but did we give him chance to work for us , we should have I feel .TAAI needs young new leaders and these people like Mr Narula need the encouragement I do not think we have been kind to good people in our industry , .Like Biji Eapen Sir he is also not given the opportunity or due credit .What can we do now is what we should focus upon it is upto the agents and the members to write their future .LatikaOn Wed, Mar 26, 2014 at 3:07 PM, krishna rao <rao.kri...@gmail.com> wrote:

As I mentioned in my mail I appreciate that you did take Mr Iqbal Mulla to task and got this order from the court , to right a wrong and that is commendable . Working as a honorary industry leader is not for everyone and those who do must be appreciated , and I recognise that .When you stood against a Mr Iqbal Mulla and Mr Sanjay Narula this time one felt that it was sad to see that many good people got left out who could have served TAAI a lot better then this current Managing Committee . The court order proves that the Managing Committee and the current OB's have been wrong and they should not have been there in the first place .I must say that sometimes going through the subject matter of issues brought forward by this young Lad Sanjay Narula did get to me and I felt he has meant well for our industry , it was pity to see that he had to be up against his very own from his region .His silence for the past few months is quite conspicuous if I may say so , as he brought a fair amount of positive energy with his enthusiasm .Pardon my saying so was it not daft ( As a grandmother I hope I am excused ) on the part of Mr Narula and yourself to have allowed Mr Iqbal Mulla and his team to win and get away when you two together could have easily ensured a stable TAAI .Is not working as a team the general idea of an association , is it not a fact that for a large part Sanjay Narula and yourself have worked in TAAI together and have done exceptional work .My friend from Chennai a TAAI veteran tells me that as a team the two of you were brilliant and besides fighting several travel industry issues I believe you two did good work even for Tsunami Relief and actively participated , so what happened now !Leaders such as yourself have to have in them the ability to recognise strengths of their colleagues and put what is right beyond self interest to serve a larger good and I would perhaps encourage each one of you to be more inclusive .Well I do interact with Aleem Bhai once in a while and vent when I can , and I now work for a Boss unlike many of you and I cannot and should not be really getting involved in the politics of the industry .However I want to see the industry prosper for a greater good and on that note I would sign of by saying , stay healthy , stay fighting fit and get a good team which can resurrect TAAI .Wish you the very best , have a great weekend , and do excuse me if my what I said was excessive,Good Night ,Asha

Dear Ms. Asha,I have seen the mails exchanged between you and Aleem Bhai, which are pro-active & constructive.
Aleem Bhai has explained to you why I contested. This is the truth. Inspite of my failing health, I had contested to take up this challenge.
I felt that if my friends needed my assistance, it was my duty to try & help. Also, it is my true intention that if I am given this opportunity I shall use all the resources at my disposal to do what I can for the travel industry.
I really appreciate the trust shown in me by Aleem Bhai and all others, which I shall not betray forever and by God's help, will never let you all down.
Please do feel free to communicate with me in case I can be of any assistance.
With warm regards.Rajji Rai

Do you really believe that TAAI will be left with any respect when this is over will it be able to command any status in the industry ?Do you really believe that all that ails us from the problems with Weekly payment to Bank Gaurantees , insurance , to Passport office etc will be taken care of . If anyone has done some selfless work one has seen it only from Mr Biji Eapen so far .TAAI is now gone beyond repair ,and I am surprised that someone of your intelligence is still very much with the same thought and same people .While I must say that being a President of TAAI or any association for that matter is a thankless job and though one does criticize but you have to recognize that all those who led TAAI till today have spent time and effort and hard work to keep it going . Now why are we getting to this ? what for !While I am glad that Mr Rajji Rai has challanged Mr Iqbal Mulla and hopefully TAAI can see a re-election . It is time that TAAI is given a complete makeover and a change of Gaurd at the Top for all the important positions ?As an optimistic person I do hope that will happen , in fact I strongly reccomend to both Mr Iqbal Mulla and Mr Rajji Rai do not drag TAAI to a long protracted legal battle where it is completely ruined .Be generous Sir's its is time you both gave up and let TAAI be born again under a new leadership and a fresh new team , in fact it is time that you yourselves choose and allow young blood and new leadership to take over and guide the new team to again bring TAAI back to its glory be there for them to make the right choices. I am sure TAAI is that important enough to you and want to see it right at the top in every segment of travel . Today why do we need so many associations when it was TAAI which showed the way in the ticketing business , in Outbound business and also to promote India and solve all related issues. That change Aleem Bhai will be the biggest contribution of all the Seniors to TAAI and the Industry .Wish you the very best have a nice day.AshaFrom: mohd <aal...@hotmail.com>Date: 18 March 2014 11:13:08 am ISTSubject: FW: Rajinder Rai v. Dear Friends,
For your information. Please take a look at the attached letter,
it is very important.
Does this mean that, until a verdict is given by the court in this
case, the TAAI MC has to remain inactive? Can someone
please enlighten us.
Thanks and regards.
