ETL/Data Stage Developer

Work Location : Schaumburg, IL

Duration : 6+ months

 

Also need at least 5 years of experience with No exception.

 

MUST HAVE :

·         Data Stage experience

·         Microsoft SSIS, SSRS, SSAS.

 

More Info!

•             Strong ETL developer with a high comfort level and experience working with DBAs. Ideally, the candidate has DBA experience.

•             Developer understands DB concepts, dialogue with them re: suggestions for performance tuning/enhancements, assess impact, and execute.

•             Dataware housing and BI experience

•             Same technical skills – Unix (or Linux), Oracle PL/SQL is critical, 9i and 11g a must have. Hands on experience with Oracle 11g, not just knowledge of.

•             Strong communication skills demonstrating ability to contribute independently in cross-functional meetings. Not afraid to jump into a discussion and share opinions/experience

•             Show he can work independently after 1 week of ramp-up

•             Will need to get his hands into the ETL code and make changes as well

•             Quick learning agility

•             Migrating data centers a plus, but not necessary since we have done the majority of the work/planning on moving data centers

•             Work with onshore/offshore, primarily onshore

 

Here’s the Job profile:

•             Conduct ETL performance tuning, troubleshooting, support, and effort or capacity estimation

•             Design, document, and execute unit test case

•             Collaborate with Technical Lead to understand solution design and processing specifications.

•             Technical aptitude and problem solving skills, cooperative approach.

•             Self-motivated and self-managed with a high degree of analytical and intellectual curiosity.

•             Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts

•             Retail experience/background would be a bonus.

 

Skill Set required:

UNIX/Shell Scripting       – 4+ (Need Strong skills)

SQL                                        – 4+ (Strong)

PL/SQL                                  – 4+ (Proficient)
