Camera Issue - EOS REBEL T3

Hi all,

For some reason my camera wont auto capture a pic when a runner crosses the line, but will snap a picture when i manually enter a result...what's going on here?

That's the first time I've heard of this happening, and the reason why is because it shouldn't be happening because both actions call the same "capture" method that triggers the camera. I do know that with the newer models you need to turn WiFi off in order for the camera to be triggered by the software. Other than that, as long as the "Take Photo" link is enabled in the "Action Keys" tab of the timing screen it should capture a photo when capturing a time manually or when a time is captured because of a tag read (when an actual entry is put into the results because of the tag read of course).

How would turning the wifi off of the main timing computer affect sending the sms messages? is there a camera that you use in particular that hasnt had a problem? Currently using a cannon eso rebel t3i...
