I timed a road race this past weekend using RFID antennas for the 1st time. I had 4 side antennas out, two at the finish line and then 2 more about 10 feet after the finish line. I had a surprising amount of missed tags, about 10%. I just got everything back out and setup like I did this last weekend to test but this time I caught every bib on the 1st set of antennas. Is there some sort of best practices in terms of antenna placement at the finish line? My antennas are MT-262006/TRH/A/K and I'm using an Impinj R420 reader.
Thanks!

I am by no means the expert on this but my first question is, how similar were the races? Top three to me: finish line width, density of finishers, chip wearing practices?
