I was trying to see if I could run on a small, fit in one vehicle timing kit.
However, the kit seems to just keep getting bigger.  Here is a potential add-on to the kit - an inflatable arch.

I have a new race to do in May that is pretty set on having an inflatable arch.  They like the look and it is what they are use to.  So, I will either rent on or buy one.

Does anyone have a source they used to buy an arch they are happy with?

Thanks

Contact running room.  They bring it, set it up, babysit it, and put it away.   The blower alone typically means you need a lot of generator so its less hassle to have it dealt with.

If you're comfortable you can deal directly with the manufacture.  Even with shipping that cuts the price in half.  I just ordered inflatable tents and arches (totally customized the way I wanted; brand, size, blower, etc).  I can give you the contact we use if you want it.

We actually switched to inflatable because it makes it much easier to send someone in a car to an event.  The inflatable tent was the major game changer.  The custom pop-up tents we used to use were so big and heavy it was hard for one person to put up and take in a car.

imprint5.com you will not beat their price and you will love the end result. I own 3 of their arches.

20211204_064719.jpgOh and as for running a smaller footprint. I used an arch, generator, 1 Reader box with 3 antennas and my normal cones and a couple of small tables, 2 chairs and of course my tent and camera yesterday. All of it fit easily into my Honda HR-V. I had room for the second reader box and some mats but didn't need them for this small race.

I have the chance to get an arch at a very good price that is a sealed arch.  Blow it up and seal the plug and it is supposed to be good for the day.  No continuous pump needed.  This sounds like a great idea since you would not need a pump going all day.  Is there a downside I am not seeing?
Anyone have any experience with this type of arch?

I've been curious about those type myself, but opted for the blower type.

How much does it weigh vs a non sealed one?  My concern with them has always been the common one with such things - what if it develops firmness (erection?)  issues mid event lol.

I have tons of huge inflatables in this style for various races as props and backdrops. No arch though. Same concept though.
No downside that I'm aware of. Only upsides.
You need a blower that has a special attachment to inflate air and then reverse a fitting to deflate it super quickly!

I got mine made a few years ago, only because several clients started requesting it. It's hard to imagine how much people love this thing. They pose for pictures and annoy me a lot, but it has also been a good advertising piece. I had it made in China and it was only a few hundred dollars at that time (blower included).
