I have an obstacle team event where runners will start 6 miles away from where I'll be ath the finish.   Ill have mats at start and a helper that can send me that file    I know I can email database to finish line and import throughout the race but wanted to see if there is anything more streamlined - I assume i can save starting database on dropbox or some kind of cloud then pull from there -  Just seeing what is easiest without jeopardizing it     Thanks!

What Brian taught me, and what I do for my Triathlons, is created a shared OneDrive folder that both the Chip Start computer and the Finish Line computer can both access via WIFI hotspots.

On the Chip Start computer, I set the "Current Database Location" to a copy of the main database on a local one drive, e.g., C:\Users\Brandon\OneDrive\TriChipStarts

That way, the Chip Start computer is always writing the database that's collecting chip start times to a local OneDrive folder. And again this Chip Start computer is always connected to the internet via its own WIFI hotspot.

On the Finish Line computer (which also has its own WIFI hotspot), the "Current Database Location" is also set locally.  But to access chip starts remotely from the chip start computer, I map a network drive to the remote OneDrive Chip Starts folder, e.g., X:\TriChipStarts

And then on the Finish Line computer, from the Time Race > RFID Readers tab, I can click Import Chip Start Times Remotely from X:\TriChipStarts and I can continuously bring chip start times into the Finish Line computer via WIFI on both ends 😊
