Can there be a way to create bib number sequences ( like run sign up does ) when preassigning bibs in ART   While I try to use dynamic bib assignment when at all possible - Times for instance when creating packets for XC I need to have art assign bibs - the problem is you start at a number then just goes up for the event.   If there can be an end number.   I often have bibs that may not be in perfect order that Id like to use easier than assigning numbers then editing the number - Thanks!

Are you creating the races and/or importing participants via an excel file? There is a bib number column on the import screen. You can preassign any numbers you want in the excel file before you run the import. I do this often.

Thank you Zach - I mostly am referring when I pull from Mile Splits csv file.   Yes, it does have starting number when you import, it doesn't have an ending number.  If I have 400 runners and have bibs 1-100   and 250-600    I think it would be nice to have those sequences available if possible

Joe, You can easily do that in Google Sheets then export back out as a csv file to import into ART.  Or use any spreadsheet program like Excel, Pages on Mac or OpenOffice Calc.

The procedure i use:  Put the beginning number in one cell then in the cell immediately under it, use the formula =A1+1.  With A1 being the actual cell above.  Then you simply copy and paste the formula cell down the column and it will increment the numbers automatically.

If you have Excel - here's a video that shows you how to do it using a built-in tool.
