I'm still having issues with having multiple races going at the same time and having chip reads pulling the time from the wrong race and I feel like I'm missing something simple.
Todays example...
The initial issue was that the bibs I got were programmed with the wrong #'s. So the 5k bibs were 5001-5500 but the tags were encoded as 15001-15500. So people started coming through the finish and the tags were read but clearly didn't match any registered runners.
So this is where the issue comes in. The Half had started about 21 minutes before the 5k. The times that were recorded for the 15xxx bibs were the half time I'm assuming because that's the race that was selected in the Public Display tab.
Now I changed the bib # by removing the 1 at the start which changed the bib number to match the actual registrant but the time stayed as the half time even though they were in the 5k and the 5k time hadn't even reached that time. I thought the software was smart enough to know and then ask if the time should be changed?
Anyway, i resolved it by going in and changing all the 5k bib #'s by adding a 1 (was not fast for 361 registrants).
So was hoping someone could give some insight if I did something wrong and could have resolved the time issue differently?
Clearly I should have checked the bibs beforehand
