I am studying the type of connectors between Antenna and readers.  Below is pretty much the possible combo.  As per my understanding, the best combo is to have reader & antenna to have the same type, like RP-TNC at both reader & antenna. This is what ART is recommending such as using FX9500 and MT/Laird antennas.  T200 & FX7500 used combo of RP-TNC & SMA.  My next question is to understand the series like 195  or 200 which related to length. Does the number indicate only the length difference or  Material difference. Thanks.

The LMR number is the thickness of the cable.  The higher the number the thicker the cable.  You have signal loss over longer cables and a thicker cable prevents this.  LMR 195 is good for about 15'.  But double check this.

This is what we recommend here at Agee Race Timing:

For connecting the TR265 reader to the MTI262006 Antenna:

10 ft. Antenna Cable (LMR-195, RP-TNC Male to RP-SMA Male)

For connecting the Motorola FX7400/7500/9500 readers to the MTI262006 Antennas:

15 ft. Antenna Cable (LMR-195, RP-TNC Male to RP-TNC Male)

20 ft. Antenna Cable (LMR-195, RP-TNC Male to RP-TNC Male)

25 ft. Antenna Cable (LMR-240, RP-TNC Male to RP-TNC Male)

30 ft. Antenna Cable (LMR-240, RP-TNC Male to RP-TNC Male)

35 ft. Antenna Cable (LMR-400, RP-TNC Male to RP-TNC Male)

40 ft. Antenna Cable (LMR-400, RP-TNC Male to RP-TNC Male)

45 ft. Antenna Cable (LMR-400, RP-TNC Male to RP-TNC Male)

50 ft. Antenna Cable (LMR-400, RP-TNC Male to RP-TNC Male)

Hope that helps!

Thanks,

Jamie
