Just want to thank Brian for the help last week to prepare me for our 26th annual 'Iolani Cross Country Invitational.  Timing went smoothly with very few missed reads and nothing that couldn't be fixed quickly.  For cross country, stray reads at the finish area are always an issue, as well as coaches not registering runners in the correct division.  We ran two separate computers, one for girls races and one for boys.  That gave us plenty of time to proofread and clarify finishers.  We just moved the ethernet cable back and forth for the reader.  We served over 800 runners yesterday and it was a super fun meet!

Thanks Brian for all that you do for our racing community!

Great job! Brian is such a lifesaver!

I don't think we've missed a read since we started double chipping our bibs and using 2 separate readers/rows.  Everything is networked into an ethernet switch.

I'd be curious to see if using an ethernet switch would eliminate the need for you guys to have to switch the ethernet cable back and forth.

Then it just be a matter of which computer does the "Start Listening" job while the other computer does not listen until the next race.  Never tried this myself because I always time everything on one main computer.
