Tried searching convos but can't seem to find it. I'd like to be able to set up remote split points for XC this fall but am curious if we can assign specific readers to split points so that they ALL do not connect at once. Would like to be able to connect the 1600m split without the 5k finish reader connecting at the same time.

Thanks!

We do this through Athletic LIVE. It has worked great for meets ranging from small middle school races to the Big East Championship.

There's a lot that goes into the initial setup, but once you have dedicated split computers (and people to work at the splits) it's super smooth! Very cool to do it all through the cloud.

Here's the Big East broadcast that has split data appear as they run over the mats (don't judge the black bar on the left side! We just built the results display!)

Happy to answer specific questions about the setup and what goes into this.

Thanks Jesse. I've done this with people at each split as you mentioned and it is awesome for sure. What I'd like to be able to do is NOT have someone at each split in some instances where my 1600 and finish are nearby each other and I can connect to the reader remotely. I'm trying to find out if there is a way to only connect certain readers at a time when i 'start listening' or if it is an all or nothing deal.

Thanks!

I'm wanting to test splits myself. I found this old conversation: (if this link works)
