I am in need of purchasing a new laptop for timing, this is only for timing.
While I have other backup laptops, they are old and quite slow.

What do you guys think of the laptop and specs below.

If you know of a better option, please let me know.

Without a doubt, this is an excellent offer. However, I would never buy a notebook without a numeric keypad for timekeeping purposes. If you're working outdoors, you should also ensure that the display is as bright as possible and remains easily readable even in direct sunlight.

Thank you for the feedback, we use a wireless usb key pad while timing, but you are not wrong that having a keypad always available is very helpful.

Keep in mind that it is Refurbished though, meaning that it has been previously used.  So that explains the excellent price.  For a new laptop like that he'd expect to pay a few hundred dollars more, give or take.

Alternatively, I've been using new Lenovo's pretty successfully the past few years. My main laptop is now an Dell/Alienware super laptop.

I would say that being that computers are a key necessary tool for our business/services, I would rather overpay a little for a little extra peace of mind than to roll the dice on something cheaper just to save a little money.  But that doesn't mean there are deals to be had tho.
