Hi all, I have a newer computer without an ethernet port, so I'm using an ethernet adapter. We're seeing occasional "reader offline" issues during events and haven't been able to source the reason, but I suspect it's the usb adapter.. I have an older computer with a built in port that doesn't do this.

Any ideas to troubleshoot or settings to help keep the reader from disconnected? My guess is the adapter goes to sleep or something.

Interesting...can I suggest trying something, put a bib that isn't being used in the read field of the antennas so it's constantly being read. I've been doing this for years now and haven't had any issues like that anymore.

Plus you can always delete the bib from the results and it'll re-read immediately if there is a question about whether the reader is working

It is possible that Windows is turning the adapter off to save power.
There is a properties setting you can change to prevent this.
Remember Windows thinks it knows what is best for you!!
